Let's Learn Italian
Amici Della Lingua Italiana is proud to offer Italian language classes for individuals interested in the Italian language and the Italian Heritage. Our classes are about more than just language! They are enriched and enhanced with information about the lifestyle, traditions, and customs of the Old Country, and are taught by instructors who were born in Italy and bring firsthand knowledge of Italian culture. All classes have a maximum of twenty students enrolled.
The curriculum includes 2 cooking classes, which are very enjoyable, tasty, and well attended. You can learn to make pasta! One year membership is included when you register.
Classes for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Burlington City High School located at 100 Blue Devil Way, Burlington, NJ 08016
We also offer a class focused on basic Italian conversation for travelers. This 10-week class is held on Monday evenings at the Wilbur Watts Intermediate School located at 550 High St., Burlington, NJ (Entrance off of back parking lot on Wood Street, Board of Education door). This class is offered both in the fall and in the spring.
Live Classes - Starts October 2023 to May 2024.
For 2023-2024 Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced level classes start Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Registration is Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Burlington City High School.
The Spring 2024 semester Basic Conversation for Travelers class starts Monday, March 11, 2024 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
All new students MUST speak to the Teacher, Vera Bonavita Agarwal, 609.298.7880 before registering for class.
During the fall and spring semesters, we follow the Wilbur Watts Intermediate School calendar and the Burlington City High School calendar.
PLEASE NOTE: MASKs are optional when in the building.
*COVID CONTINGENCY PLAN – If there becomes a heightened pandemic with government restrictions or the Burlington Board of Education mandates no adult education classes, we will continue the curriculum via WebEx virtual conferencing.

The fee for a year of lessons, which includes registration, instructors’ expenses, and a one-year membership to the club: Members $150.00, Non-Members $160.00 The language book is additional.
The cost of the basic conversation class is Members $75.00, Non-Members $100 which includes registration, instructor’s expenses, and a year membership to the club.
